The Horatio Alger Association has
created a new scholarship program known as the Franklin Scholars Program for high school seniors. Twenty-five scholarships
valued at 10,000 will be awarded to seniors attending high school in the state of Pennsylvania.
The Franklin Scholars Program will
provide assistance to students who have financial need and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal
adversity. Scholarship criteria include: high school graduation, residency and high school enrollment in Pennsylvania, the
commitment to pursue a bachelor’s degree, and United States citizenship.
