Hello. I am the senior high guidance
counselor at Brockway Area High School. I look forward to helping you and your son or daughter with their plans for after
graduation.
For students interested in post-secondary
schooling, I will be glad to assist with any of the tasks or provide any of the services offered.
Post-secondary school on-line applications are preferred more frequently each year. This is a quick
and convenient method of completing the application process. Students will still need to send transcripts signed and sealed
from the guidance office, and pay the application fee due the college, university, or post-secondary school.
In mid-December, students should
receive/obtain a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) worksheet either in the mail or from the guidance office.
It cannot be filed prior to January 1st. This is the main application for post-secondary school grants, loans and work-study
money. This application should be filed online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Please take time to discuss this
information with your son or daughter.
If you have any questions regarding
any of the information, please feel free to call me at 265-8414. I would be happy to set up an appointment at a time convenient
to you to meet with you and your senior. Seniors may stop in and see me at any time.
Parents of seniors who have career
plans other than post-secondary education, such as military, vocational, or workforce training, please do not hesitate to
contact me regarding your child’s post-high school planning.
Sincerely,
School Counselor
