The Brockway Area High School has entered into an agreement with Penn State DuBois to offer a dual enrollment program.
The course offered for the Spring of 2009 will be (3 credits).
To be eligible a student must be a high school junior or senior with satisfactory progress on the PSSA test, at least
proficient in Reading and Writing, a high school grade point average of 2.80 or higher, and a score of at least 17 on the
Penn State English placement exam.
Students who do not meet the criteria may be permitted to enroll in dual enrollment course based upon the student's overall
grade point average and also based upon the written support from the high school guidance counselor or high school principal.
If a student meets the alternative critieria the student must also receive approval from both PSU DuBois and the School District.
Students completing dual enrollment courses will be required to request that Penn State DuBois provide an official
copy of their Penn State transcript to the School District. Grade and credit for dual enrollment courses will not
be averaged with current high school coursework.
Transportation for required functions at Penn State-DuBois will be provided by the student at the student's expense.
